Session 1

My intention for this course is to get an "A". Therefore, I will be completing all three projects. I am not exactly sure what the projects will entail, but I plan to seek the assistance of Dr. Newberry and my classmates.

My Responses

Using technology to increase our personal effectiveness in our own role and being a model for others to follow.
It is my belief that every experience should be a learning one, and in order for this to happen, I need to be open to both the learning and sharing of knowledge. Therefore, I need to be flexible enough to engage in actively learning to embrace technologyin its correct form, apply it to my role in the classroom, and encouraging others by being an example of what is possible to do through the use of technology.

Communicating to others information about the effective use of technology including training and guiding others to use technology efectively.
In order for anything to be effective, communication has to be an important factor. Others will pick up on your enthusiasm if they can feel the importance of it in you. The manner in which you speak, show, or introduce something will be the deciding factor in someone else buy into it.

Supporting the effective use of technology through planning for technology use, promoting technology use, staff development, infrastructure acquisition and upkeep.
The classrooms of today are becoming more and more technology based. The students of today are more interested in the technical side of learning, so it is vital for the classroom to continue to move in the direction of technology through effective lesson planning and implementation. If this is effectively done, others will buy into it which will take care of the promoting if technology. This will also take place by sharing the results during staff development and making oneself available to help implement it into department lesson planning, and then possibly school-wide lesson planning.
